Welcome to Design Management Forum 2018!

Design Management forum is an event for you as a creator, designer and planner of buildings, products and infrastructure, or if you work with effective facility management. Our goal is to provide visions and strategic information on industry trends and insights. You will meet organisations that present their experiences of, and solutions to different challenges, and gain in-depth insights into products and techniques for your industry.

Join us and Autodesk and learn about the latest news and experiences in areas such as CAD, BIM, PLM and PDM.

Design Management Forum is a social event. Meet the people behind the innovations and investments of the future. Perhaps you will find your next business partnership? Register today and secure your place on Symetri’s forum for knowledge exchange.

Keynote speakers

One of the keynote speakers this year is Märtha Rehnberg. With more than ten years’ experience on topics such as future change and business strategies, Märtha is known for her speaker skills and workshops. At Design Management Forum, Märtha will share her thoughts on ‘Disruptive Technologies – What they are and why they matter to the Circular Economy’.

Jonas Kjellberg is an entrepreneus with many large companies on his track record. He was co-creator of Skype and the managing director from 2004-2007. In addition he has been part of the journey for Campuz Mobile (Vodafone), Optimal Telecom (Tele2), Player.io (Yahoo) and iCloud (Apple). When not running companies, Jonas lectures at Stanford University and Stockholm School of Economics on the topics of entrepreneurship and how to create a winning sales culture. Jonas talks focus on how product, sales and profitability must interact in order to create a successful business. Organisations today face new demands as customer satisfaction is becoming more and more transparent with users increasingly sharing their experiences.

Why should you participate in Design Management Forum?

  • Motivational keynote speakers present the overall trends and directions for the future
  • Inspiration and best practices from a variety of speakers in building, manufacturing, infrastructure and effective facility management
  • A large competence centre with Symetri consultants and partners

    Märtha Rehnberg, DareDisrupt.

You are probably in the midst of learning the technology that is disrupting your organisation. In all likelihood, you are investing in a portfolio of technologies to hedge against an exponential, digital and deceptive future. In her lecture, Märtha Rehnberg talks about ‘technological intuition’ as the new and ubiquitous skill needed to navigate key digital technologies related to big data and artificial intelligence. To this end, she also dives into industries that are undergoing a digital transformation to highlight some of the promises and perils that depend precisely on our ability to apply technological intuition.

Exploring the future of smart and virtual cities. VirtualCity@Chalmers is a multidisciplinary research project at Chalmers University of Technology involving researchers from mathematics, architecture, civil engineering and computer science. The aim is to build a virtual model, first of the Chalmers campus and then of the whole City of Gothenburg. The virtual model will involve advanced 3D visualisation in both virtual and augmented reality, as well as advanced mathematical calculations of wind flow, traffic flow, pedestrian flow, pollution, flooding, noise, etc. – all aspects of city life that can be modelled, simulated and visualised.
